There's a great piece in the Yale student newspaper today. I couldn't help but feel nostalgic after reading the article. The shady tactics of the leftist Anti-War movement to scuttle and discredit Pro-America rallies on campus are reminiscent of what I saw during my college days. The International Socialists, a motley communist organization that infiltrates college campuses like tics on a dog's belly, were the consummate "portable radicals". They protested every single issue, no matter how trivial, with frenetic religious fervor. Raising their ire was something of a sport for campus conservatives like myself. I will admit, there is some small part of me that wishes I was still an undergrad during this time of War, poking fun at all the spoiled rich kids turned Birkenstock socialists. Ah, the good ol' days...
